Gretchen Ruth Cline

Gretchen (Weimann) Cline, 43, of Berrien Springs, MI died on Sat., April 16, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Chapel of St. Joseph. Gretchen was born August 15, 1967 in St. Joseph to Gerald and Claire (Zschoche) Weimann. Gretchen graduated in 1985 from Berrien Springs High School, and continued her education at Columbia College in Chicago, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. On July 27, 2002 she married Gregory Scott Cline in Berrien Springs. Gretchen was tender hearted, had a magnificent wit, and always made things fun. She was an avid lifelong reader and had an abiding love of cats. Gretchen was a talented cook who loved Lake Michigan and its beautiful sunsets. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Gretchen is survived by her husband, Gregory Scott Cline; her parents, Gerald and Claire Weimann of Berrien Springs; parents-in-law, Ned and Patricia Cline of New Castle, IN; her sister, Heidi Clarke of Deltona, FL; her brother, Peter (Amy Bruckman) Weimann of Atlanta, GA; two nieces, Ariel and Gabrielle Clarke; two nephews, Noah and Evan Weimann; and a brother-in-law, James Cline. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 3:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Steinke officiating. Visitation is prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
