Arthur Warren Frazier, 76, of Eau Claire, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market Sts., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church-St. Joseph or the Donor's Choice. Art was born October 9, 1934 in Keeler, Michigan to Henry & Daisy (Monger) Frazier. He was raised by Ed & Sadie Jaffke in Coloma and graduated from Coloma High School-Class of 1952. Art served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. On February 24, 1984, he married the former Janet Dasse Schmal in St. Joseph. ` He retired in 1995 after 30 years as a route salesman with Oven Fresh Bakeries, Grand Rapids. Art's front license plate on his car read-Retired Breadman-Just Loafin. Following retirement, he and Janet enjoyed winters in Sarasota, Florida at the Sun-N-Fun RV Park. In his spare time, Art enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and rooting for his favorite sports teams-the Cubs, Lions, Notre Dame and Tennessee Women's Basketball.
Art is survived by his wife Janet; his children-Mark Frazier of Detroit, Vicki (Joe) Hanko of Comstock Park, MI, Christopher Frazier of Denver, CO, Colleen (Ray) Morlock of Coloma, Brett (Marie) Frazier of Berrien Springs, MI, Tracy Thommen of Bristol, PA; step-children-Jeffery Schmal of Buchanan, Kristine (Colin) Gavin of Naperville, IL; ten grandchildren-Stephanie (Joe) Golden, Kylee Morlock, Bailey Evans, Kyle, Kaylie & Dylan Thommen, Ronald Schmal, Nicole (Navah) Hurt, Bradley Hattenbach, & Luke Gavin; two sisters-in-law-Eleanor Frazier of Watervliet and Marge Frazier of Illinois; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers & sisters-Infant Francis Frazier, Daisy (Fred) Aldrich, Elmer Frazier, Pat (Jim) Colman, Eva (Charles) Muvrin, Henry Frazier, and his step-son Michael Schmal in 1989.
