Dagne Schoenbach

Dagne A. Schoenbach, 69, of St. Joseph passed away at her home on Sunday, June 12, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. John R. DeVries officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Friends my leave a condolence at the guestbook at www.starks-mencinger.com Dagne was born in South Bend, IN on July 8, 1941 to Hector & Marjorie (Jones) Lindal. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1959 and attend college before moving to Hawaii. After living there for 10 years and owning her own business she moved back to St. Joseph to help take care for her parents. On February 10, 1979 she married Albert “Al” Schoenbach at the Riverview Park Christian Church in St. Joseph. She worked at the Leco Corporation in St. Joseph for over 30 years as executive secretary, assisting Mr. & Mrs. Warren . Dagne enjoyed making stained glass, painting and collecting carousel horses and collecting doorstops. She is survived by her husband Al of St. Joseph and his children Maggie (Craig) Ruple of Grand Rapids, MI and Jeff Schoenbach of Sault Sainte Marie, MI; two grand-children Cody (Samatha) Ruple and Sarah Ruple; a sister Sandra Price of White Hall, MI and a brother Bruce (Theresa) Lindal of Denver, CO. Preceded in death by a daughter Julia Ann Kasmar and grandson Zachary Schoenbach.
