Bobby's Obituary

Bobby Burger, 24, of St. Joseph, passed away April 17, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Philip Quardokus officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. Bobby was born on November 4, 1986 in Berrien Springs to Jerald and Sharon (Russell) Burger. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 2005 and studied for 2 years at Lake Michigan College. In 2008 he became co-owner and operator of Item 9 Instrumentals. Bobby loved performing arts and appeared in a movie in Chicago. He was an outstanding athlete, and played baseball, football and basketball at Lakeshore High School. Bobby is survived by his loving parents Jerald and Sharon of St. Joseph, sister Rhonda Fredricks of St. Joseph, nieces; Jamie, Renee and Becky Pletz, great nieces; Landon, Katelyn and Makaylah, uncle; Terry Russell of Coloma, aunt; Barbara Bouwman of Paw Paw, cousins; Shaun and Erin Russell, uncle Tom (Helen) Burger of Honor MI., cousins; Tommy Burger of Baton Rouge LA., Mark (Lisa) Burger Kohler WI., Christina Burger of Chicago, IL., second cousins; Madelyn, Kayla Burger, maternal grandmother; Maxine Russell of Bridgman, paternal grandmother; Betty Burger of Bridgman, also survived by close friends Kent and Julie, Anthony, Chelsea, Rachel and K.J Hardin, and other family members, friends, and finally his faithful dog Akina “Beans”. Bobby was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Robert Russell and paternal grandfather Robert Burger.
