Angela Schneider

Angela (Gala) Schneider, 91, passed away April 5, 2011 in St. Joseph. She was born April 24, 1919 in Moosehorn, Manitoba, Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvina and Gustav Schneider, and her brothers Adolph and Ludwig (Louie) Schneider. She is survived by her sister, Louise Skibbe of St. Joseph, her nieces Lois Bull of Las Vegas, NV and Marilyn Hope of Bridgman, her nephews Verne (Donna) Schneider of Reston, VA, Allen (Betsy) Skibbe of St. Joseph and Roger Skibbe of Dallas, TX, her good friend Margaret Belter and her devoted and loving caretakers in her final days, Betsy Skibbe and Miranda Skibbe. Gala was a longtime member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor and retired from Heath Company in 1981. A celebration of life service officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Laitinen will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Friday at 10 to 11 am. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor.
