Barbara Hauch

Barbara Hauch, 80, of Stevensville, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with pastor Christopher Noffke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Save a Stray. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Barbara was born July 13, 1930 in South Haven, MI to Hubert & Doris (Johnson) Thomas. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On October 5, 1947 she married Harry Hauch in Berrien Springs, MI. Barbara worked for Zenith as an Inspector. Her favorite memories were of the Cole Brothers Circus when she was young and living with her grandma. Her grandma sewed costumes for the circus at their winter headquarters in Indiana. In her spare time she enjoyed racing, traveling, gambling, good coffee and every dog she ever met. Barbara is survived by her children Donna (Jon) Holland of Benton Harbor, Harry (Cheryl) Hauch Jr. of St. Joseph; son-in-law George Lambe of Benton Harbor; 2 grandchildren Bryan (Kara) Lynch and Aimee Williams; 3 great grandchildren Aiden, Gavin and Alyvia ; 8 step-grandchildren; Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Katrina Lambe; and most recently her best friend Buddy.
