William Henry Froberg

William Henry Froberg, 64, of Bridgman, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Gathering will be held from 11:00am until 12:00pm Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A luncheon for all friends and family will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation. Bill was born on May 25, 1946 in Benton Harbor to William James & Grace Jeanne (Tessman) Froberg Jr. Bill graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1964. On August 28, 1965, he married Nancy Sumner in Stevensville. Bill worked for Lakeland Grocery for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, golf, riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, and listening to rock and roll music. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy of Bridgman; son William Thomas (Ruth) Froberg of St. Joseph; daughter Holly Jeane Graves of Bridgman; four grandchildren Robbyn (Jed) Barclay of Indianapolis, Shawn Graves of Bridgman, Jenna Froberg and Liam Froberg of St. Joseph; great grandchild Charlotte Barclay; sister Pam Sessions of West Virginia. He was loved like a son and brother by Shirley Sumner of Stevensville and Karen Burnette of Watervliet. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dianne Locke.
