John Horton

John “Randy” Horton, 29, of Berrien Springs passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will be held at a later date at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M Thursday, May 12, 2011 with a rosary recited at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Horton Family. Those wishing to share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Randy was born April 5, 1982 in St. Joseph, MI., to Dennis Sr. & Cheryl (Randall) Horton. He graduated from Blossomland Learning Center in Berrien Springs in 2008. In his spare time he loved swimming, and Reese's peanut butter cups. Randy is survived by his mother Cheryl Horton of St. Joseph; father Dennis (Jackie) Horton Sr. of Jeffersonville, IN; brother Dennis (Annette) Horton Jr. of Winchester, VA; sister Janet (Bill) Grant of LaGrange, KY; nephews & nieces Andrew, Will, Jonathon and Joshua Horton, Erin & Katie Grant, Cody Lopresti, Hannah Wolf, and Sami Richardson; special friends Joe Scrima and Christopher Mwashinga; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Archie.
