Anna Busse

Anna B. Busse, 102, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. A Celebration of life service will be held 12:00P.M. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Thomas Batsky officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 11:00A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Anna was born December 2, 1908 in Spinks Corner to John & Amelia (Schultz) Sempert. She worked for Grace B. Pauley Dress Shop in St. Joseph for 20 years. On June 29, 1929 she married Adolph Busse in St. Joseph. Anna was a member of the Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Anna was survived by her son Howard (Betty) Busse of St. Joseph; daughter Marilyn (Charles) Waldenmaier of Stevensville; two grandchildren Kirk (Cynthia) Waldenmaier and Kathy (Kevin) Moynihan; three great grandchildren Karen Moynihan, Kris (Jenn) Moynihan and Jennifer Waldenmaier; two great-great grandchildren; Kamrin and Joshua Moynihan; one brother Leonard (Joyce) Sempert of Florida. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
