Forrest's Obituary
Forrest E. Wessendorf, 68, of Eau Claire, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 in the comfort of his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Stephen Small officiating. Burial will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, April 29, 2011 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Forrest was born January 23, 1943 in St. Joseph, MI to Albert Jr. & Virgil (Shire) Wessendorf. Forrest served his country in the United States Navy and retired as Lieutenant Commander and Chaplain in 1994. He was a member of the VFW in Watervliet. Forrest loved and served the Lord. He also loved spending time with his family.
Forrest is survived by his siblings Shirley (John) Strawbridge of Eau Claire, MI., William Wessendorf of South Bend, IN., Jean Wessendorf of Keeler, MI., and David (Rosellen) Wessendorf of Rio Rico, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents.
