Richard Alan Hannah, 47, of Stevensville died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Portage, IN.
Friends may call from 5:00- 8:00 Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave, St. Joseph; officiated by Rev Franz J. Brandenburg; with burial to follow at North Shore Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rick's Children College Fund by way of checks made payable to The College Advantage Savings Plan or Melanie Hannah. Checks may be mailed to Melanie Hannah, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 1788 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville, MI 49127 or taken directly to the bank. Rick was born on April 1, 1963 in St. Joseph, Michigan to William & Irma (Williams) Hannah. He was a graduate of Lakeshore High School in 1981 and from University of Purdue in 1985. He married Melanie Beasley on September 13, 1992 in St. Thomas.
Rick was a pilot and President of Avsat in Benton Harbor.
He is survived by his wife Melanie and two sons Stephen and Stuart of Stevensville;father William (Linda) Hannah of Bridgman; two brothers William (Barb) Hannah of Bridgman, Stephen (Leigh) Hannah of Placentia CA; step-sisters Laurie (Paul) Johnson of King George, VA and Carrie Davis of Kalamazoo; mother-in-law Joann (Alfred) Weis of Hendersonville NC; father-in-law William Beasley of Hanover NH and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Irma on May 18, 1984.
