Gayle A. Duensing

Gayle A. Duensing, 87, of Stevensville, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Jordan's Life Care Center in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville, with Rev. Gerald Schroer officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Gayle was born on November 15, 1923, in Rinard, Illinois to James and Harriet (Wilson) Beasley. On January 8, 1943 she married Wallace Duensing in Perryville, Missouri. Gayle was a beautician and the owner of Gyl's Beauty Salon in Stevensville. A creative and talented floral arranger, Gayle started the Altar Guild and was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Gayle also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Gayle is survived by three sons; Michael (Ann) Duensing and Patrick (Karin) Duensing of St. Joseph; Timothy (Laura) Duensing of Stevensville and one daughter Gyl (David) Kasewurm of St. Joseph. She was preceded by her husband Wallace in 1983, a sister Nell Lents and a brother Floyd Beasley.
