Gene's Obituary
Gene Allen Wagner, 72, of Stevensville, MI died on Saturday, Feb. 5., 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, MI. Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Gene was born May 5, 1938 in Baroda, MI to Ansel and Sylvia (Wilkensen) Wagner. On April 17, 1960 in Coloma, MI he married Betty Louise Needham. Gene was a industrial machine repairman in various local factories, retiring from Bosch Corp. in 2005 after 22 years.
Gene is survived by his wife Betty of over 50 years; his children, Elizabeth (Lance) Stanton of Stevensville, Lynda (Rodney) Zech of Baroda, and Gene (Marie) Wagner, Jr. of St. Joseph; five grandchildren, Stefan McMillen, Holli McMillen, Rebekka McMillen, Christopher Wagner and Jessica Wagner; six great grandchildren, Natalie, Jeriko, Ava, Breandan, Mia and Rayven; and a sister, Rose Clark of Benton Harbor. He is preceded in death by his parents-Ansel and Sylvia, three sisters and six brothers.
