Raymond Domke

Raymond Charles Domke, 83, of Sodus, passed away March. 25, 2011 at Orchard Grove Extended Care in Benton Harbor. A celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM March 30, 2011 AM at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home , 2650 Niles Road, with Pastor Robert Duehlmeyer officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday march 29, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to send a condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Ray was born on June 16, 1927 to Charles and Martha (Burkett) Domke. He Married Leola Lucker in 1951. Ray enjoyed playing softball for Airport Service Station. He also loved to camp and build camp fires and participate in 2 way radio. In the early nineties Ray retired from Lakeshore School System. He was also the manager of Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball games for his children when they were small. Ray is survived by his loving wife Leola Domke of almost 60 years, son Richard (Frances) Domke of Benton harbor, sister; Helen Bradford of MN, grandchildren; Cari, Brian, Jacquelyn, Jerry, Tina, 9 great grandchildren, and best friend Craig Fair. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his son; Raymond Domke Jr.
