Paul was born July 19, 1947 in Rhede, Germany to Anton & Helene (Bettig) Kosachuk. On January 30, 1967 he married Barbara Kosachuk in Benton Harbor. Paul was a Lieutenant for the Benton Township Fire Department for many years and then became the owner of Peerless Canvas Products in St. Joseph. Paul was committed to and loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his family and his friends. He loved his wife Barb with great passion, and together they spent much time with their children and grandchildren. Paul and Barbs' involvement in their church in many areas showed where their first priority lies. That is the winning of the lost to Christ and the growth of their family and fellow Christians. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, traveling and spending time at his lake house. Paul is survived by his wife Barbara “Barbie” Kosachuk of St. Joseph; son Scott (Staci) Kosachuk of St. Joseph; daughter Tina (Larry) Shane of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren Camaron Kosachuk, Brandyn Kosachuk, Rachel Kosachuk, Noah Wesley Kosachuk, Michael Shane, Anika Shane, Hannah Shane, and Kylee Shane; three sisters Helga Wolf, Mary (Steve) Arnold, Sandy (John) Babbel; brother Bill (Marcey) Kosachuk and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sister Anna Brauchler.
