Lynn Laney Davis

Lynn Laney Davis, 55, of Stevensville MI; Died Saturday March 12, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 Friday, at Starks & Menchinger Family funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Sierra Club. Friends wishing to leave a condolence may do so at the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com At her request, the family will gather at a later date for burial of the cremains. Lynn was born on January 25, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Richard & Rene (Metzcus) Laney. She graduated Lakeshore High School and the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Business. She worked in software development for Tandem Computers in Cupertino, California for 10 years. Her interests included hiking, gardening and the Chicago Cubs. She met several players, including Ron Santo. Her true love was raising her son and following Lakeshore High School Basketball while her son was on the team. Lynn is survived by her son Hayden Scott Davis of Stevensville, mother Rene Laney of Stevensville; sister Laura Litke of Scottsdale AZ; two brothers Philip (Becky) Laney of St. Joseph; Richard (Brenda) Laney of Shelbyville, IN; Nieces and Nephews Ross, Dawson, Keaton, Cameron, Tela, Trent; also by many aunts and uncles throughout the USA. She was preceded in death by her beloved father Richard (Dick) Laney on July 26, 2010.
