Elizabeth Burg

Elizabeth “Beth” Burg, 82, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman with her family at her bedside. A Gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial of her ashes will take place at a later date at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Elizabeth was born January, 23 1928 in Benton Harbor, MI, to Harry “H.H.” and Anne (Thorne) Crow. On June 24, 1950 she married Carl Robert Burg in Benton Harbor, he preceded her in death on January 6, 2008. She worked for Benton Harbor Area Schools in the administration office for many years. Beth was a talented artist, animal lover, gardener and created amazing needlework. She passed many of her interests on to her children. She also enjoyed reading, golf, and her travels to England with Bob. Elizabeth is survived by her children-Susan (David) Bailey of Stevensville, Cynthia Eisenhart of Stevensville, Catherine (Chris) Evans of South Jordan, Utah, John (Kristin) Burg of Stevensville; seven grandchildren-Michael, Amy, Eric, Anna, Jared, Benjamin, and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Harry “Bud” Crow. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we know she is now happy to be back with her loving husband, Bob.
