St. Joseph, MI – Marcia Ann McCrone, 61, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. A service celebrating her life will be on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11:30 am. The visitation will be held on the same day from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. – St. Joseph, MI. The service will be officiated by Rev. Susan Sparta. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Marcia was born to Edward and Leah (Lynch) McCrone on October 28th, 1949 in Benton Harbor, MI. Marcia was a graduate of St John’s Catholic school and worked at Mercy Hospital. She was an avid reader, loved to walk and was known for her baking skills. Her Pumpkin pie was world famous. Marcia loved her 2 cats they were her kids.She was small in stature but her heart was gigantic. A great sense of humor and a deep love of family was her nature. Marcia is survived by her nine siblings, Kevin (Joan) McCrone, Marybeth (Greg) Bennett, Mark (Toni) McCrone, Sarah (Robert) Van Arkel, Sheila Beckmann, Maureen (Susan Sparta) McCrone, Michael (Rachelle) McCrone, Erin (Thomas) Briggs and Joe (Rochelle) McCrone. Marcia is also survived by twenty nine nephews and nieces, and her good friend Ann Ford. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents Edward McCrone, Leah McCrone (Lynch) and her brother Brian McCrone. She was God’s gift to her family and we will deeply miss her.
