Lorraine's Obituary

Lorraine M. Baginske, 89 of Baroda, passed away at home on December 15, 2010. A Celebration of Eternal Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Those wishing to sign Lorraine's Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Lorraine was born October 8, 1921 in Benton Harbor to August W. & Martha (Ratz) Mensinger. She graduated from Bridgman High School in 1939. On July 10, 1942, she married Paul Baginske in Bridgman. Lorraine was employed for twenty years at Bit of Swiss Bakery in Stevensville. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stevensville. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, sewing & cooking. She was known for the beautiful doll clothing which she made. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Shirley (August) Zielke of Baroda; her son Larry (Kathy) Baginske of Stevensville; grandchildren-Barbara (Vytas) Sukys, James (Lisa) Zielke, Tiffany (Joseph) Rydwelski, Lisa Baginske, Michelle (Adam) Hardaway; great-grandchildren-Victoria (Brendan) Tubbs, Synthia (Aaron) Wheeler, Katherine, Vytas II, & Tony Sukys, Mallory, Joshua & Michaela Zielke, Samantha, Abigale & Jessa Rydwelski; and her sister Leatrice Buck of Peotone, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul in 2006, and her brother Leroy Mensinger in 2005.
