Caroline's Obituary
Caroline Fisher, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at The Willows in St. Joseph with her family at her bedside.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00A.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 4071 Naomi Rd., in Sodus with Pastor Jim Dibbet officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Friends may visit Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Those wishing to share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Caroline was born October 10, 1921 in Eau Claire, MI to Christopher & Regina (Kublick) Ertman. On September 6, 1941 she married Clyde W. Fisher in Benton Harbor. She worked at Deaner's box factory in Berrien County and was a housewife staying busy raising six children. Caroline was also very active in her church.
Caroline was survived by her six children Virgina (Everett) Boakes of Marshall, MI, Ruth Shuler of Baroda, MI, Delores Rogalski of St. Joseph, Clyde (Pattie) Fisher of Eau Claire, MI, Vern (Elva) Fisher of Eau Claire, MI, and Tom (Rhonda) Fisher of St. Joseph; 13 grandchildren Everett “Scott†(Monique) Boakes, Carolyn (George) Cassar, Karen (Dennis) Ott, Elaine (Jeff) Starbuck, Allen (Kristine) Shuler, Tracy (Eric) Olson, Kathy (Gary) Terry, Jennifer (Jeff) Crouch, Clyde “Michael†Fisher, Craig (Catherine) Fisher, Jason (Mary) Fisher, Chelsey Fisher, Linsey Fisher; 14 great grandchildren; Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde Fisher; eight brothers and sisters Emil Ertman, Reinhart Ertman, Kenneth Ertman, Walter Ertman, Harold Ertman, Mary Brown, Frieda Bennett, and Evelyn Sempert; son-in-law Lee Shuler.
