Leila “Lee†Schmal Bowd, 76, of Benton Harbor fell asleep on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 and now lives with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9123 George Ave., Berrien Springs, MI, with a dinner to follow. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friends wishing to send a condolence may do so online at the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com. Arrangements entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Lee is survived by three daughters; Claudia “Holly†Young of Virginia Beach, VA; Rhonda Johnston and Lisa Hafley of Niles, MI, eight grandchildren “Oma's Onliesâ€:Hillary Guillory, Charlene Morissaint, William “Mannie†Young, Katherine Young, Tiffany Johnston, Eric Hafley, Samantha Johnston and Jacob Hafley, and five great-grandchildren “Oma's Greatsâ€: Ian, Alexandra, Leah, Kilah and Rhyleigh.
Lee is preceded by and has joined her parents Emanuel “Sam†Schmal and Elsie Zelmer Schmal and her six brothers: Edmond, Emanuel “Sonnyâ€, Kenneth, Ronald, Michael and Wayne at the great high feast in Heaven!
