Betty's Obituary
Betty Niedbala, 94, of Stevensville, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Woodland Terrace Assisted Living in Bridgman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Betty was born November 14, 1915 in Kankakee, Illinois to John & Alsbetha (Stancik) Zaboynik. She was employed in her earlier years at Auto Specialties and played on the ladies softball team, at Williams Bros. Box Factory and at Vail Rubber Works. On December 29, 1945, she married Edward Niedbala in Detroit. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards & bowling, and after her husband's retirement-traveling across the United States. She was a very strong willed lady who enjoyed her independence.
Betty is survived by her two sons-Edward (Judy) Niedbala, and their son Christopher of Chatanooga, TN, Robert (Ann) Niedbala of Baroda; her sister Bessie Hass of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward on April 13, 1993, and by her sister Anna Zaboynik on February 7, 2005.
