Alberta Beckman

Alberta Neomi Beckman, 87, of St. Joseph, MI died on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Arrnagements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home of St. Joseph. Alberta was born in Fond Du Lac, WI on May 1, 1923. She was an Avon Lady for over 30 years delivering her last order just one week ago. Alberta was also a member and actively involved at St. Peter's United Church of Christ. She will be missed by family and friends. Alberta is survived by her children – Cherie Fisher of Stevensville, MI and Edgar Beckman, Jr. of St. Joseph; four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband-Edgar, a son-William, a grandchild, a brother and two sisters. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, October 20, from 6:00-8:00pm at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home. A private family service will be held. Alberta final resting place is at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI. Memorial contributions may be directed to Lakeland Hospice.
