Nicholas Bischoff

Nicholas “Nick” Bischoff, 52, of Benton Harbor, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Benton Harbor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., officiated by Rev. Michael Roth with burial to follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery with military rites conducted. Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Friends wishing to send a condolence may do so at the guestbook online at www.starks-menchinger,com Nick was born on September 14, 1958 in Seymour, Indiana to Stuart and Patricia (Reddel) Bischoff. He was a 1976 graduate of St. Joseph High School and then entered the United States Navy to serve our country. He married Jennifer Lombardo on August 21, 1993 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Nick was employed by Sandvik Steel as a machine operator. As a young boy Nick loved to go fishing with his parents and enjoyed the many family vacations they took together. As a life-long Notre Dame fan, Nick spent many fall and winter Saturdays at home football games with his brothers and his friends. As a proud father Nick was always talking to friends and family about his son Aaron’s academic, band, and career accomplishments. Nick cherished spending time with his wife Jennifer of 17 years, visiting Silver Beach, going on annual trips to Las Vegas, and spending time with the many friends they accumulated over the years. He is survived by his wife Jennifer of Benton Harbor; a son Aaron Bischoff of Troy, OH; his parents Stuart and Pat Bischoff of Stevensville, MI; two sisters Debbie (Steve) Minter of Florida and Krista (Rich) Bierbamm of Marshall, MI; two brothers Barry (Katie) Bischoff and David Bischoff both of St. Joseph, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
