Ronald Murphy

STEVENSVILLE – Ronnie Leonard Murphy, 73, of Stevensville, MI, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital. There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church with a luncheon following the service. The arrangements are entrusted with Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. All memorial donations should be made to the family. Ronald was born July 23, 1937 in Benton Twp., MI to Willie and Pearl (Exum) Murphy. He married Evelyn Coder on October 15, 1966 in St. Joseph, MI. Ronald was well known in the asphalt construction business. He started at JG Yerington and retired from Kletts in 1999. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and never missed a chance to see them play. Ronald is survived by his wife, Evelyn, stepchildren, Carol Patzer and Bob Patzer, and sisters, Reda (Joe) Gagliardo and Marlene (Patrick) Graham. He also had two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Demetra Schoenfeld.
