Evelyn Wetkowski

Evelyn Adella Wetkowski, 99, of Kalamazoo, formerly of St. Joseph passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Friendship Village. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph with Pastor Tom Tufts officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to Friendship Village Employee Appreciation Fund, Kalamazoo, Michigan, or Westwood Church of God, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Evelyn is survived by her brother; Alvin (Verda) Nickel of Marion, South Dakota. In addition, she is survived by her children; Arlene (A. Thomas) Cappas of Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, Wayne (Stella) Wetkowski of Eau Claire, Michigan. Also she is survived by her grand children; Constance (Michael) Griffith, Cynthia (David) Sommerville, Craig (Tracy) Cappas, Kimberly (Michael) Thumm, Kent (Amanda) Wetkowski, Nichole (Jon) Kenney, and Heather (Bryan) Lopp. Finally, she is survived by seventeen great grand children and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband Leonard Wetkowski, daughter; Kathleen Luttrell, sisters; Selma (Dale) Rozinski, Adina (Lloyd) Deckert, Esther (Lloyd) Kauffman , and Violet (Curt) Schwartz.
