Kory Stephen Daisy, 24, of Stevensville went home to be with Jesus at 1:02 p.m. on Friday, August 20th, 2010, after almost three years battling leukemia. He was seeking cancer treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 15th, 1986 in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Kory is survived by his parents Mindy Flowers-Daisy and Ron Daisy and his wife Jane, brother Kyle Daisy, sisters Rhonda Weaver and Tina Daisy, grandparents Fritz and Glen Flowers and his great grandmother, Flossie Wilson-Dentler. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Kory graduated in 2005 from Lakeshore High School where he played soccer and baseball. He also attended Grand Rapids Community College. He worked at The Shakey Dog Café and IPC Print Services in St. Joseph. Kory attended First Assembly of God in St. Joseph. Along with soccer and baseball, Kory enjoyed golf, playing cards with friends and family and he was a die hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, which he spent many hours watching with his best buddy and brother, Kyle. He also loved the North Carolina Tarheels. He was a huge soccer fan and the family was blessed when on their final return home flight from Houston, the Chicago Fire soccer team was with them on the flight. For those wishing to celebrate his life, visitation will be held Friday, August 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Starks and Menchinger in St. Joseph. His funeral service will be held Saturday, August 28th at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in St. Joseph. His final resting place will be Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville.
