Jeanne W. Dunn, 60, of Stevensville, MI, died at her home Saturday morning August 21, 2010 , after a long battle with cancer Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road St. Joseph. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held for the family onWednesday following Jeanne's wishes. Memorials may be made to The Samaritan Counseling Center, 1850 Colfax Avenue Benton Harbor, MI 49022. On December 13, 1969 she married Ed Dunn in Evansville, IN. She earned a Masters Degree in Community Counseling from Andrews University. During her career she touched the lives of many people as a counselor, therapist, and caseworker at Samaritan Counseling Center, Andrews University, and as an associate of Dr. Harold Smith. She was a volunteer for Breast Cancer Awareness, Planned Parenthood, Hospice at Home, and other community and charitable organizations. She is also the benefactor and sponsor for the Jeanne Dunn Scholarship Program For Women in Transition through the Berrien Community Foundation. She is survived by her husband Ed of Stevensville, MI; a son Ben of East Lansing, MI three sisters Linda K. (William) Brown of Evansville, IN, Donna M Murphy of Davis, IL, Deborah E. Klund of Rockford, IL; 6 nieces & nephews; 7 great nieces & nephews.
