Justin M. Brookes

Dallas, TX – Justin Michael Brookes, 28, of Dallas, TX, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Baylor University Medical Center. God blessed us with Justin on January 21, 1982 and called St. Joseph, Michigan his home until he graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in 2000. Shortly after, he moved to Chicago to pursue his Bachelors degree in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 2004. Among many things Justin was known for his unending smile, positive disposition and great sense of humor. He was deeply passionate about his family, friends and extremely proud to be an uncle. At the age of 4 years old he pledged his allegiance to the Chicago Cubs when he began listening to the games on the radio and could be found at Wrigley Field on any given evening during the Cubs season. Justin met the love of his life, Andrea, in 2006 while working at Crunch gym in Chicago. They married on May 24, 2009 at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Together they moved to Dallas, TX in October 2009 when Justin accepted a promotion from his employer Reach Local. His adoring family includes his wife, Andrea; his parents Cory and Patty Brookes; his siblings – brother, Zachary and sisters Ashley and Lea; his best friend and brother – Dan White. He also leaves behind five nieces, two nephews and his two “children” – his cats Tom and Bella. He was preceded in death by his Papa Merlin Jinkins and Grandpa Ritchie Cannon. All who love Justin are asked to join us from 5pm – 7pm Friday, September 10 to greet his family at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A celebration of Justin’s life will be held Saturday, September 10:30 a.m. at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.
