James Michael Donahue

James Michael Donahue, 63, of St. Joseph, died unexpectedly at his home on June 25, 2010. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home of St. Joseph, MI. James was born January 31, 1947 in Chicago Heights, IL to William Patrick and Betty Ann (Crooks) Donahue. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #568, Stevensville, MI. James received his electrical engineering bachelor's degree from Purdue University, and also an associates degree in accounting from Calumet College. He was a supervisor at Whirlpool, retiring in 2006. Currently James was working in the electrical department at Lowe's. James is survived by his son-Patrick; his fiancé-Barbara Goss; Barbara's children-Brian Turner and Amanda Turner; Barbara's grandchildren-Abby, Coal and Rayshawn; his sister-Barbara (Jim) Revercomb of Indianapolis, IN; and several nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 10:00am, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Cowall officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service or to the American Legion Post #568 of Stevensville.
