Zelda Cohen Fishman

Zelda (Cohen) Fishman, life-long resident of Benton Harbor passed away May 27, 2010 at the age of 92. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rabbi David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Temple B' Nai Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeland Health Care, Lakeland Hospice or Temple B'nai Shalom Endowment Fund. Fishman in 1940 in Benton Harbor. Zelda had worked in various places in Benton Harbor, including several years at the Benton Harbor Fruit Market. Mom always said, “Never say Good-By always say So-Long.” So-Long Mom we shall miss you and you will always be in our hearts. Zelda's family is very appreciative to Pat Graham and Marianne Willming for their loving care and to the staff at Lakeland Health Care. Zelda is survived by her four children, Rosalind (William) Poynter of Austin, Texas; Jay A. Fishman of Troy, MI; Marcia (Arthur Arfa) Fishman-Arfa of Chicago and Marlene (Steven) Flamm of St. Joseph; her greatly beloved grandchildren, Daniel, Michael and Amanda Fishman; Eric Rogic; Sara Flamm and Kari (Ron) Barry; great granddaughter Natasha Jaymes Barry and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, four brothers and three sisters. So-Long, Mom.
