Kim's Obituary

Kim Paul McCrumb, 54, of Stevensville passed away suddenly May 3, 2010 in South Bend. He was a beloved husband, nephew, uncle, and friend with a compassionate heart and a gentle soul. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. James Wilson officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or the American Heart Association. Those wishing to sign Kim's Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Kim was born November 8, 1955 to Paul and Frieda (Mantei) McCrumb. On November 4, 1989, Kim married Lonna Yacobozzi, who survives. Kim was a gifted artist and worked for 25 years designing and restoring neon signs. Many of his signs are on area businesses in St. Joseph and around Michiana. He took great pride in his work, and created beautiful signs. Kim had a deep fondness for animals. He helped many strays find a loving home. In addition to his wife, Kim is survived by his brother; Mark, uncle; Gene Mantei, in-laws; Ben and Donna Yacobozzi, sister and brother-in laws; Brenda (Bob) Anaya, Dino (Alison) Yacobozzi, Alan (Gina) Yacobozzi, his nieces and nephews who will always treasure their Uncle Kim; Zoe and Alex Anaya, Nick and Lauren Yacobozzi, and Zach, Megan, and Carter Yacobozzi, and numerous cousins.
