Michael Kacynski

Michael Kacynski, 29, of Baroda, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph after a short and courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 3, 2010 at The Chapel Evangelical Free Church, 4250 Washington, St. Joseph with pastor Philip Bubar officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Kacynski family. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Michael was born November 25, 1980 in Benton Harbor, MI to Thomas & Angie (Bennitt) Kacynski. In 1999 he graduated from Bridgman High School. On July 26, 2008 he married Stacy Greiffendorf on Mackinac Island. Michael worked for Tigmaster in Baroda and owned Vendetta Auto Fab in Baroda. He enjoyed welding, working on old cars, and owning his own business. Mike's talent in writing recently became evident through his blog www.mikekacynski.blogspot.com. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and his big, yellow lab, Lou. Michael is survived by his wife Stacy Kacynski of Baroda; daughter Lilli Kacynski; parents Thomas & Angie Kacynski of Bridgman; two brothers Eric (Jen) Gaul & Ryan (Kelly) Gaul; father-in-law and mother-in-law Pam & Glen Greiffendorf of Baroda; brother-in-law Grant Greiffendorf; sister-in-law Abby Greiffendorf; grandparents Bill & Beverly Bennitt of Stevensville; grandfather Vince Kacynski of Hart Michigan; niece Mackenzie Gaul; three nephews Jacob, Harley, and Chase Gaul; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Kacynski.
