Dominic's Obituary
Stevensville – Dominic M. Baggesi, 71, of Stevensville, MI passed away after a battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. The visitation will he held an hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends wishing to sign the family guestbook or to leave a message may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Berrien County Cancer Service or Animal Aid.
Dominic was born April 21, 1939 in Castelbuono, Sicily to Mariano and Michelina (Prestigivanni) Baggesi. He married Sandy Bowman on November 20, 1965 in Palmyra, PA. Dominics interests were reading, tending his lawn, enjoying the warmth of the sun, watching basketball and Nascar racing and hanging out at his favorite lawnmower shop.
Dominic is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandy and by his children, Michael Baggesi of Rocky Mount, NC; Christopher Baggesi of Baroda, MI and Melissa (James) Lane of St. Joseph and two grandchildren, Hannah and Jeremy Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Vincent Baggesi
