Lynn Marie Midkiff

Lynn Marie (Lucas) Midkiff, 42, of Berrien Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Minister Lonnie Rhodes of Portage Road General Baptist Church in Niles officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may call from 4:00 til 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Lynn was born September 13, 1967 in St. Joseph to Albert “Pete” & Vergene “Jean” (Burwell) Lucas. She graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1986. On September 14, 1991, Lynn married James Donnie Midkiff in Berrien Springs. She was employed for the last twenty-two years at Berrien Teachers Credit Union in Berrien Springs. Lynn was perfect for the job. She was a people person who brought joy to all those she encountered and whose smile, lit up the room when she entered. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister who cherished the time spent with her family and her work family. Lynn enjoyed participating with her daughter and her co-workers at the Berrien County Relay for Life. Lynn was very fond of all animals. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, reading, scrapbooking, and watching cooking shows on TV. Lynn is survived by her husband Donnie; her daughter Sara Midkiff; her parents Pete & Jean Lucas of Berrien Springs; her siblings-Phillip (Stacy) Lucas of Hartford, Phyllis Lucas and her fiancee Rodney Brohman of Berrien Springs, Dean (Renee) Lucas of Kalamazoo; Donnie's parents Larry & Martha Manley of Eau Claire; Donnie's siblings-Ruth (Steve) Dunsford of Eau Claire, LaDonna ( John) Sherman of Dowagiac, Dale (Cheryl) Midkiff of Watervliet, Sandra (Joe) Gant of Dowagiac, Larry E. (Christi) Manley of Niles; her grandmother Nellie Pumphrey of Eau Claire; and numerous nieces & nephews and aunts & uncles.
