Mark E. Callender

St. Joseph, MI. – Mark Edward Callender, 52, of St. Joseph, MI., died peacefully on Friday, March 26 2010 at his home in St. Joseph. No services are scheduled. A reception for friends and family in memory of Mark is Tuesday, March 30 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stooges Restaurant. The arrangements are with Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home. Mark was born on September 19, 1957 in St. Joseph to Harry and Muriel (Beaman) Callender. He later married Diana Burreson on September 9, 1978 in St. Joseph. For the past 13 years he has been the owner of Stooges Restaurant. Prior to Stooges, Mark was a cook for 20 years at Chickhaven Restaurant. His passions were his antiques and taking care of his yard. Mark is survived by his wife, Diana; his daughters, Amy and Katelyn Callender all of St. Joseph, and two granddaughters, Zoe and Lily. He is also survived by five sisters, Gayle (Larry) Adler, Dawn (Ernie) Koenig, Jackie (Bruce) Babitz, Bev Gordon and Pat (Richard) Dillard and a brother, Frank Callender.
