Veryl's Obituary
St. Joseph, MI. – Veryl Davis, 93, of St. Joseph, MI., died peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Caretel Inns Of Lakeland. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to In-House Hospice.
Veryl was born on May 16, 1916 in Sodus, MI. to William and Jane (Buckman) Heeter. She married Blanchard Davis on January 11, 1936 in South Bend, IN. She was a kindergarten teacher in the Benton Harbor Public School System for many years.
Veryl is survived by her granddaughter, Tammy Ojile and her husband John, grandson Steven Davis and his wife Erin, daughter-in-law, Karen Perkins, four great grandchildren, Tiffany and Jennifer Ojile, Taylor and Carter Davis, all of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Tom, her four brothers, Charles (Dan) Heeter, Eugene (Butch) Heeter, William Heeter, James Heeter, and her four sisters, Mary Heeter, Zora Heeter, Ruth Thomas, Alice Henderson.
