Joseph Patti, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away, Monday, March 15, 2010 in Winter Haven, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware in Benton Harbor with Fr. William J. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with prayers recited at 7:30 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Bernard Catholic Church. Those wishing to sign the memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Joseph was born in South Haven, Michigan on August 9, 1930. Joseph retired from Cedarwood Medical Center, St. Joseph, Michigan in 1993. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 53 years, Arlene (Conrad) Patti; his precious daughters, Karin Collins and her husband, Phil, Orlando, Florida, Laura Pacheco and her husband, Roberto, Noblesville, Indiana; grandchildren Heather and Daniel Vaughn, Brandon and Candice DeLeeuw, Ryan and Tisha DeLeeuw, Joseph Pacheco, Jonathan Pacheco, Josh and Lindsey Collins, Heather and Eric Ashbrook, and Sean Collins; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Vaughn, Xavier and Irelyn DeLeeuw, Ryan Jr., and Jacob DeLeeuw, Eiley and Lilia Collins, Akasha, Sage and Mahana Ashbrook; sisters Frances Fisher, Christine (James) Mitchell, and Connie Smith. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Pauline (Gargano) Patti, John Patti, sister, Grace Selter, and his great-grandson Alexander Cole DeLeeuw.
