Claire Helen Ertman

Claire H. Ertman, 88, of Stevensville, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Nick Jackson officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in the Class of 1939. Claire was the treasurer of F. P. Rosback in Benton Harbor, retiring in 1983 after 40 years of service. She was an avid sportswoman who enjoyed golfing, pontoon boating, fishing, and most of all, traveling the US and abroad. Claire is survived by her niece Beverly J. Tedder of Brigham City, Utah and her family; several cousins; close friends John & Cheryl Borchert and the Borchert Family; and numerous loving neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Ertman in 1985, and her life-long companion June M. Borchert on June 18, 2008.
