Benton Harbor, MI – Joan “Joanie” D. Priebe, 67, of Benton Harbor, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at her home. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Crystal Springs Church of God, 1465 Pipestone St., Benton Harbor, MI. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday. January 22, 2010 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Crystal Springs Church of God. Joanie was born on December 15, 1942 in Benton Harbor, MI to Lewis and Dorothy (Hanes) Kiessling. She later married Marvin Priebe on June 12, 1982 in Sodus, MI. Joanie is survived by her husband, Marvin of Benton Harbor, her mother, Dorothy Hanes of St. Joseph, her two sons, Alan Zachary of St. Joseph and Andrew (Linda) Zachary of Stevensville. She is also survived by her three stepchildren, Douglas (Tonya) Priebe of Coloma, MI, Terri (Dan) Ward of Hemstead, TX and Tamara Sperry of Franklin, TX. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis, a brother Donald Kiessling and a son-in-law, Chris Sperry.
