Betty Mae Ketelhut

Betty Mae Ketelhut, 81, of Benton Harbor, passed away December 18, 2009 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1965 Broadway, Benton Harbor, MI with Rev. Paul S. Naumann officiating, with burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma MI. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Friends and family can share memories with the family at www.starks-menchinger.com. Betty was born June 26, 1928 to David and Doris (Zerby) Morrison in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1948. Betty married Charles F. Ketelhut on September 27, 1952 at Peace Temple Methodist Church in Benton Harbor. Betty was a homemaker, she loved being with and providing support for her family. Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years Charles of Benton Harbor; daughter Kathy Ketelhut of St. Joseph; grand-daughters Rebecca and Jennifer Kehl of Eugene, OR; half-sisters, Lana Hrab of Michigan City, IN; and Jenny Lambert of Chesterton, IN; half-brothers, Gary Morrison of Stanton, KY; and Ernie Morrison. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Eldon “Butch” Thompson and a daughter, Linda Kehl in 2008.
