Rosemarie Thersa Capaccio

Rosemarie T. Capaccio, 81, of Benton Harbor Mi, formerly of South Haven, Michigan went to see her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 28, 2010. She has been under the loving care of her family and Lakeland Hospice. Rosemarie was born May 18, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois daughter of Maria Zielke and step father Walter Hennesey. She is preceded in death along with her husband, Gerald T. Capaccio, daughter Mary K. Blake and two sisters Lorraine and Bernice. She is survived by her children: Angeline (Edward) Danapilis of St. Joseph, Mi, Walter Capaccio of Virginia Beach, Va., Gerald (Kimberly) Capaccio of St. Joseph, MI., Stephan Capaccio of Benton Harbor, Mi., Martin (Lisa) Capaccio of Kalamazoo, MI., Donna Cox (Andrew DiStefano) of South Haven, Mi., sister-in-law Jenny Capaccio of South Haven, Mi., and many beloved grandchildren (20) and great-grandchildren (19). Rose was a graduate of Lake Michigan and Southwestern College. She served the community as a nurse for over 30 years at Watervliet Hospital and Lakeland Regional Hospital. She enjoyed outside activities, her rose garden and traveling throughout the United States. Rose was a member of St. Basils and St. Bernards Catholic Church. Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor, MI., with Father Bill Jacobs officiating. The arrangements are with Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to ALS Association West Michigan office in memory of Mary K. Blake.
