Duane H. Bomke

Duane H. Bomke, 71, of Benton Harbor , went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, January 08, 2010 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church , 671 McAllister, Benton Harbor with Pastor Jeremy Laitinen officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the funeral service from 12 PM to 1 PM at the church. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home, St. Joseph . He was a lifelong resident of Benton Harbor and graduated from Benton Harbor High School . Duane was an accountant with Paw Paw Plating for 23 years. He married Diane on June 7, 1980 at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Benton Harbor . Duane was involved with St. Matthew's Lutheran Church as an usher, working on church budget and participating in the church counsel. He loved to golf. Duane is survived by his wife, Diane (Hallman) Bomke of Benton Harbor; Children, Henry S. Bomke of Watervliet, Jennifer Baldwin of Dowagiac, Robert (Cynthia) Seaman of Buchanan; Sister, Elaine (John) Schweitzer of Connecticut; four grand-children and two great grand-children. He is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Bomke in 1975 and his father, Henry J. Bomke in 1985.
