Alice Franks

Alice Franks Alice Anita (Polinske) Franks 76, of Bridgman, MI passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Jordan's Nursing home. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A Private Graveside Service will be at Riverview Cemetery for immediate family. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, Immanuel Lutheran Parish Nursing Fund or the Immanuel Lutheran Alter Guild. Alice was the youngest of eight children born to August and Natalie (Lange) Polinske on January 30, 1933 in St. Joseph. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1951. On June 28, 1952 she married John H. Franks, Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. She is survived by a daughter Teresa (Jack) Siemans of St. Joseph; two granddaughters Mackenzie and Kailee Siemans of St. Joseph; a sister Ruth Lucker of St. Joseph; a great niece Brenda (Ron) Kuhn and a great great nephew Matthew Kuhn. Alice was preceded in death by her husband John on October 4, 1983; her parents August and Natalie Polinske; four brothers Arthur, Edmund, Frederick and George Polinske and two sister's Natalie Polinske and Alma Beckman
