Philip R. Hofman

Philip R. Hofman, 87 of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Brown Deer, WI, took his Lord’s hand on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Willow’s Assisted Living Home in St. Joseph surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 18 Milwaukee. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9:30:a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Philip was born to Philip and Alvina (Alears) Hofman December 11, 1921 in Milwaukee. He worked for over 35 years as an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance. On March 27, 1946, he was married to the love of his life, Mary Scepan. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie (Tom) Lain of St. Joseph, MI; his son, Neil (Kelly) Hofman of Milwaukee, WI and one grandson, Aaron Lain of St. Joseph, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his mother, Alvina, his father, Philip and his sister, Audrey Scepan.
