Dorothy H. Cottrell, 93, of St. Joseph, passed away December 31, 2009 at the Willows in St. Joseph.

Dorothy was born October 2, 1916 in Michigan City, IN to Charles & Loretta (Sudrow) Swanson. In 1938 she married Henry Cottrell in Michigan City, IN. Dorothy worked as a homemaker. Taking care of her family was very important to her.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Jane (Bruce) Wightman of St. Joseph; two grandchildren Todd Henry (Noreen) Soos of Stevensville and John James (Katherine) Soos IV of Ocala, FL; seven great grandchildren; sister Gloria Penfold; brother Kenneth (Loy) Swanson. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Judith Pasquill, and brothers William & Charles Swanson.
