Rebecca J. Wallis, 30, of Eaton Rapids, MI, went home to her Lord on Friday, October 2, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester , MN . A Celebration of Rebecca’s Life will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. , St. Joseph , MI 40985 with Pastor Royce Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph . Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Rebecca was born on October 12, 1978 to Ronald and Barbara (Lee) Selter in St. Joseph , MI. She graduated from Bridgman High School in 1997. Rebecca married her husband, Brett on September 15, 2001 in Bridgman, MI. Together, they raised two children, Connor and Emily. Rebecca was active in Bible Study at Trinity Church in Lansing , MI . She loved to substitute teach elementary school children and was a Table Leader with Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). Rebecca loved children, crafts, sewing, camping and drinking iced tea with lemon. Rebecca was known for her positive attitude and fighting spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Brett of Eaton Rapids, MI; her children, Connor and Emily; sister, Michelle Selter of Stevensville , MI ; her parents, Ronald Selter and Barbara & Martin Wappler; as well as many loving family and friends.
