William E. Bugg

William Edward Bugg, 73 of St. Joseph, went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home Saturday morning, October 3, 2009. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 Pm Tuesday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, at 11:30 AM, at the funeral Home, Officiated by Rev. Wade S. Panse, with a Masonic Service following by Lakeshore Lodge 298. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph First United Methodist Church or Hospice at Home. Friends may send a condolence to the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com. Bill was born on March 6, 1936 to William and Doris (Bannon) Bugg in Danville IL. On August 5, 1955 he married Deloris Jean Smith in Kokomo, IN. He was a teacher of Math at St. Joseph High School from 1967- 1992 when he retired. During his life he became an Eagle Scout, Past Master of Masonic Lodge 298, and State Director of the Steel headers. Active member sense 1969 of the First United Methodist Church He is survived by his wife Jean of St. Joseph; a daughter Michelle (Kevin) Flaherty of St. Joseph; a son Steven (Jamie) Brooks of Bloomfield Hills, MI; five grandchildren William and Julianna Flaherty; Rachel, Anna, Noah Brooks; his mother Doris Bugg of Greentown IN; two sister Shirley (Wayne) Frakes of Greentown, IN and Nancy (Dale) Hoff of Sevierville TN. Preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Lynn Bugg; a son Michael Edward Bugg, and his father William Harold Bugg
