Kenneth V. Hammer

Kenneth Veryl Hammer, 86, of Stevensville died Wednesday September 30, 2009 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral Home; officiated by Rev. Thomas Batsky, with burial to follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may send there condolences to the guest book at www.starks-menchinger.com Ken was born on March 3, 1923 to Samuel and Doris (Wilcox) Hammer in Bridgman, Michigan. He served his country in the United State Army during WWII. On June 28, 1947 he married Adelaide Sech in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He retired as an Electrician from Allied Signal (Bendix). He is survived by three sisters Phylis, Pearl and Judy. Preceded in death by his wife Adelaide; a son David and his brother Keith.
