RAY BURNETT Benton Harbor, MI – Raymond Lee Burnett, 63 of Benton Harbor, MI, went to be with the Lord our Savior on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. – St. Joseph, MI. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ray was born to Virgil and Corine (Smith) Burnett on August 1, 1946 in Pinson, TN. Ray married Wanda Nail on August 8, 1964 in Benton Harbor, MI. He established in 1987 Burnett and Sons Painting. He was a member of Benton Heights Church of God. Ray is survived by his wife, Wanda (Nail) Lane, two sons, Bryon (Harmony) Burnett of Cedar Springs, MI and Raymond D. (Tina McCormick) Burnett of Benton Harbor and a daughter, Shonda Nail (Jacob) Findley of Jonesboro, AR. Ray is also survived by a sister, Mary Chamberlain, three brothers, Bill Lane, Thomas Lane and Randy Lane and eight grandchildren, Corey Burnett, Devin Burnett, Shyanne Burnett, Gabby Burnett, Trenton Findley, Jayden Findley, Adyson Findley and Kilyn Findley. He was survived by several nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Bobby Stark. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Corine Burnett, a sister, Peggy Reamer and four brothers, G.W., Joe and Houston Burnett and Curtis Lane.
